Dear Parents & Caregivers

Official Welcome – Mr Michael Stanley, Principal.

We will hold an official welcome ceremony on Monday, August 27th at 3pm. Please refer to the flyer below and RSVP via this google form. It would be wonderful to see you all there to meet and welcome our new Principal. Students who are skiing will need to change back into full school uniform as soon as they arrive back to school- provided there is time! We will have an afternoon tea to follow the official welcome.

New Staff Member – ESOL Teacher Aide

This week we welcomed Ms Camila Denegri onto our staff as our new ‘English as a Second or Other Language’ teacher aide. Students who are learning English will receive support with Camila both out of class and in-class. Camila has come from Chile and can speak Spanish and English.

Skiing – the second round of the ski programme continues on Monday 27 August. Please ensure you have your students at school by 8:30am and that they have all their ski gear as well as their uniform for the 3pm Welcome Ceremony.

Touch Teams

We have been invited to put in teams for the Queenstown Primary Touch competition in term 4 – starting from 29 October, and running for 7 weeks with the last game on 10 December. Cost per player will be $22.  We have a number of students interested in playing – but we need coaches! If you’d like to take on the task of coaching a touch team, please apply for the job, stating your experience and qualifications. Basically, if you’re fit and healthy, you’re in 🙂

Toys at School

Students may bring a toy to school on a Friday. Please note – toys need to stay at home if it isn’t Friday.

Senior Camp

Students from the senior class will be going on camp on September 12, 13 and 14 (week 8). A camp meeting for parents and caregivers is scheduled for 2pm, Thursday, 30 August. Please refer to your emails for details and google forms.

School Assemblies will usually be held on Fridays at 2:10pm.
