Dear Parents & Caregivers
The end of the year is only around the corner and it is time to start reflecting on all the wonderful achievements and successes this year. Before things get too crazy I would like to take a moment to thank all the people who have supported me in this new role. Our wonderful Office Manager has been my lifesaver and I am not sure what I would have done without her.
It is important to thank our teaching staff who have managed a difficult time of transition and change to provide all the students with quality teaching and learning. We have had tremendous success this year academically which was highlighted in the ERO report.
To Shaun Vining our BOT Chairman, the BOT and CSAQ, thanks for your guidance.
Lastly to the parents, thank you for your support during the year from external events, library refurbishments, fundraising and everything in between.
I am really confident that next year will be even better.
We would like to welcome Giovana Ramires to Kingsview School. Giovana started in the junior room this week.
We also welcome back Troy and Alex Poole who will be back to school on Monday.
Parent information evening on new report format
At 6:00 pm on Tuesday the 4th of December I will be providing an opportunity for parents to look at the new report format that we are introducing. This will be a time to ask questions about the information that you will receive in the end of year report. With the removal of National Standards, reporting has changed and I will explain the new electronic version of reporting that will be linked into our School Management System.
I look forward to seeing as many of you that can make it at this busy time of year.
Three of our amazing junior students are making and selling cupcakes at the market tomorrow. Keep an eye out for them and it would be fantastic if you could support them. This is part of their Inquiry project.
We’ve set our FINAL money due back date as *Tuesday 27 November*, so please make sure you’ve returned all your money to *your classroom teacher* before then.
We would love some volunteers on the day, so please email your child’s teacher if you can help us throw an amazing day! If you can’t help, we’d still love to have you come down and cheer the kids on to create a great atmosphere for the kids. Make sure you wear old clothes – or white, if you want to join in and get colourful! We’ll need lots of parents to help throw colour at the colour stations as well as squirt the kids with water at the water stations, not to mention helping them through the maze of obstacles en route.
Students will be able to order their prizes from the 27th to the 30th of November – refer to the instructions on the website. This is so we can get the prizes here on time for the fun run day.
Contact Mrs Stanley via email if you have any problems!
